A dilemma that started, since the world began
When the first civilization, opened its trades
A search for perfection, inherently present
Each and every sensible mind it raids

Who is a Brahman? Who will Guide?
Who will make our sufferings less?
Who is eligible and who is correct?
Who shall take away, all the worldly disgrace?

Through ages this query has been talked
People always did debate and shout
Whether they needed One or want to be One?
Sometimes, no one really is sure about

This beautiful mystery is hidden somewhere
In the sacred texts of Dharma
The inquisitive soul plunges to find
Its true essence and real Marma

This world of Prapancha where we exist
To which we are all bound and tied
At various levels of our own consciousness
This Vedic hymn and its meanings hide

Brahma Janati Iti Brahman
We simply say, and pretend
And go on with our Scholarly gait
Our understanding comes to an end

Not knowing where are we standing
Attached to this Physical Self
“You simply see the way you are”
Whispers, the mysterious Elf

A Brahman is, who knows Sandhya
And maintains its triple vow
A reader of the Vedas for sure
Non-violent to the sentient and the Cow

Blessed with the Sacred Thread
He propitiates the Blazing Sun
Filled with Vigour and Energy
Adheres to Truth, fearing None

Consciousness of this Physical Plane
Defines a Brahman in this form
Anyone whom you see to Claim
Must scan through, to meet this Norm

A Brahman also knows the Subconscious
He uses Mind as an effective tool
The mysteries of the Astral World
Are within his reach and easy rule

Distances doesn't matter any more
Neither the thoughts can remain hidden
Subtler perception pervades all over
And the Karmic flow can be bidden

Consciousness of this Astral Plane
Defines a Brahman in this form
Anyone whom you see to Claim
Must scan through, to meet this Norm

A Brahman always plays in jest
In the world of Eternal Love
Residing in Peace and Blissfulness
Like Bhagwan’s own, sanctified Dove

His Karmic impressions are simply like
Footsteps on a sandy beach
Washing exhaling and inhaling waves
And disappearing beyond anyone’s reach

Consciousness of this Causal Plane
Defines a Brahman in this form
Anyone whom you see to Claim
Must scan through, to meet this Norm

But, before scanning some other soul
Soul-searching of self is must
What makes us look for answers?
Our Spirit’s call or some hidden lust?

Brahman is neither a social tag
Nor is it some thread to wear
It is the acme of our Own Consciousness
For only those, who choose to Dare.
